Kelly Calone's journey into special education was deeply personal. Watching her older brother struggle in school, labeled by teachers as lazy and uncooperative, was heart-wrenching. It wasn't until 7th grade that he was correctly diagnosed, and with the right pedagogical instruction, his academic trajectory transformed dramatically. This personal experience ignited a passion in Kelly.
Driven by empathy and understanding of the trials faced by those with learning disabilities, she was inspired to become a beacon of hope in the education system. A distinguished graduate of Kean University, Kelly secured a degree in Special Education, complemented by dual certifications in both general and special education. She is also a certified Dyslexia Practitioner, accredited by the Wilson’s Reading Academy, and holds an additional certification in history. With over 11 years in the public school system, Kelly specializes in:
• Dyslexia
• Cognitive, communicative & auditory impairments
• Autism
• Attention Deficit Disorder

• Multiple disabilities
Recognizing the intricacies of IEP meetings from her brother's journey and her professional experience, Kelly assists parents in navigating these often overwhelming discussions, ensuring the best interests of her students are championed.
